Some of The USAF students have visited London.
London! A city worth a visit. There's always something to see, to do... historical monuments and modern architecture all together to offer tourists amazing and unforgettable experiences.
London is a great multicultural city in Europe. There we find almost everything. Beautiful, historical buildings that tell the story of the nation as well as modern architectural constructions, which gives London a special atmosphere.
The USAF group had the opportunity to go sightseeing through the city centre and to visit some of its most popular attractions. The Tower of London, the Tower Bridge, St. Paul’s Cathedral, The houses of Parliament, the famous Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace and the Changing of the Guard ceremony, Greenwich where is located The Royal Observatory and the 0 meridian line, the place that sets the European time, the famous Natural History , Science or the Victoria and Albert Museums.
Discovering the city, its smells and uses is only possible wandering through the streets; mingling with the crowd…We have witnessed a city that’s always alive, moving. Trafalgar Square and the National Gallery, then Leicester Square , famous for the cinemas and theatres, Piccadilly Circus and the colourful electronic ads, Covent Garden, a busy place of commerce and the arts performances on the streets.
Last but not least, the West End, where the group had a lifetime experience at Her Majesty’s Theatre watching the Phantom of The Opera. This is one of the best musical shows. The actors marveled the audience with amazing, unforgettable voices and performances.
The new experiences went on. Tasting the food at local restaurants and pubs gave the USAF group a different insight of London’s lifestyle.
Finally, it’s impossible not to mention that the USAF students have been the most incredible group with their joyful and youthful attitude.
We all had a great time at her Majesty’s national capital, London.
